GRL TOOLKIT – girlpower

This toolkit was created thanks to the work of the 20 youth workers trained during the “EuroMed GRL PWR” training course in Tunisia on February 2022 and supported and coordinated by the trainers and experts from AICEM and ASES.

AIM OF THE TOOLKIT:
Aim of this toolkit is to provide an open source online tool to provide an educational programme for other social workers, youth workers and trainers to multiply activities and programs which favours the development of girls and young women in three dimensions:

personal and private development as a human,
development for their career development
civic development as an active citizen.

In the toolkit you will find 4 sections:

The first section is dedicated to the implementation of a training course to train local operators (men and women) dedicated to girl empowerment. You can check and use the tools in this section if your intention is to create a special training course for people in charge of educating and empowering girls and women at local, regional, national level.
The second section is dedicated to implement local activities and actions to foster personal and private development. You can check and use the tools in this section if your intention is to create specific activities to help girls and young women in considering what is important in their personal development and start a process to grow and empower themselves as a human being, in their private life.
The third section is dedicated to implement local activities and actions to foster entrepreneurial and professional development. You can check and use the tools in this section if your intention is to create specific activities to help girls and young women in start developing their career, their professional role and start a process to empower themselves as an entrepreneur, not just as owner of a company or a start up, but also as entrepreneur of their own professional life.
the fourth section is dedicated to implement local activities and actions to foster civic development as active citizens. You can check and use the tools in this section if your intention is to create specific activities to help girls and young women in considering what is important to become and active citizens and start a process to take an active part in their society and participate in the decision of their local/regional/national community. Also this can be an opportunity for them to start their own non profit entity to contribute in making society a better place and empower themselves as an actor of change

HOW TO USE THE TOOLKIT:

Decide what is the activity you need/want to realize according to your specific local need and context,
Open the section that responds to the needs you/your target group have,
first look at the materials that the experts and trainers prepared for you in order to follow a specific path,
then look into the folders with the resources in different languages in order to use what is best for your target in the language they need.

Note: if you want to organize the TC you need to expose the materials of each folder in order for your participants to be aware of the resources available and the basic theory/concept to integrate in their activities. We hope you will like to empower girl and young women as we liked it and you will start doing it as much as possible: we really need a world where our girls and young women are ready to rule the world together and equally to boys and young men!
